What We Do

Costs

Costs

We endeavour to price each disposal for our customers individually and fairly. Although we have standard costs for all types of redundant IT equipment we try to offset these as much as possible by refurbishing and remarketing anything that has value or by refurbishing systems and spares for resale. The remaining equipment is broken down and separated into recyclable materials or foundry additives. It may be that equipment considered scrap still retains some value elsewhere in the marketplace, let us know what you need to dispose of and we will give you an honest appraisal of its value.

Logistics

Logistics

We work closely with customers of all types to ensure a painless and flexible collection and disposal process.
Working with short lead times and tight deadlines is not a problem. We have the staff and capability to do any job from small local offices up to large multi-site blue chip clients. With a 3.5 acre site based just off the A40 / M25 near London, space and storage are not a problem. Transport can be arranged to suit access to your premises

Asset Tracking

Asset Tracking

Most companies want to ensure that equipment sent for disposal matches their asset register and audit trail. Each piece of equipment will be tracked form the point of collection, through our own secure facility and on to disposal.
We can provide a standard report or we are happy to tailor one to clients specific needs.

Data Integrity

Data Integrity

Data sensitivity and protection is a high priority of ours. When clients dispose of equipment, they want to be sure that data is securely destroyed and not recoverable by anybody – especially a competitor.
We recognise that this is a primary concern for all our customers and we have a number of fully certified Data Wiping options. Data Wiping can also be performed over LAN prior to collection for complete peace of mind.

Legislation

Legislation

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) has yet to be fully implemented, hoever the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directives came into full effect on 1st July 2006.

Although the UK government has delayed full implementation of the Directives, the impending arrival of such measures will place pressure on businesses everywhere to take full responsibility for the correct disposal of their equipment to ensure they are fully compliant.

In such circumstances, especially where there is doubt about ones obligations or potential penalties, there are huge advantages to be gained by bringing on board the specialist services of a company such as Chiltern IT Recycling.
